Police: Imitation Firearm Handed In
This morning [Nov.3] a member of the public handed in an imitation firearm.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 10:15am on Thursday, November 3rd a member of the public attended Somerset Police Station and handed in an imitation firearm. The item was discovered during a cleanup of the Malabar Road, Sandys parish area.”
“The imitation firearm will be forensically examined and anyone with any information regarding this matter or who may have information on the location of a firearm is encouraged to contact the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”
“This is another example of the support the Bermuda Police Service is seeing from the community regarding guns and gangs. While this does not appear to be a genuine firearm, it nevertheless has the appearance of a weapon, and we encourage the public to continue supplying this vital information.”
