Woman Injured In St David’s Accident
[Updated] At approximately 8.30am this morning [Nov.9] a woman was injured in a car accident on St David’s main road. Emergency personnel appeared to assist her in getting out of the car, and tended to her until the ambulance arrived to transport her to hospital.
Police officers reduced traffic to a single lane while dealing with the emergency, opening the road back up shortly after. We unofficially understand the car may have slid out on the wet roads, and that the driver’s injuries are not life threatening. We will update with official information as able.
Update: A Police spokesperson said, “Around 8am on Wednesday November 9th, Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on St. David’s Road, St George’s.”
“It appears that a car was travelling on St. David’s Road when it collided with a fence. The driver, a 54 year old St. George’s woman sustained relatively minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMTs. She was then transported to KEMH via ambulance for further treatment and later released.|
