2008 Assault: 60-Yr-Old Man Charged
In Magistrates Court this morning [Dec.20], 60-year-old Michael Paul Wade was charged in connection with an incident committed on 26th September 2008.
The charge was that on that date, he had assaulted a man, causing grievous bodily harm. The defendant did not have to enter a plea, as the matter is indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Mr Wade, who said he lived on Curving Avenue, was supposed to have attended Court on 30th November 2011 but had failed to do so.
The Senior Magistrate asked what he had been doing since 2008, and Mr Wade said that he’d been around and: “I’m not difficult to find.”
The Senior Magistrate set Mr Wade’s bail at $2,000, and adjourned the matter till January.
