Bermuda Finish 2nd In Dressage Challenge

Bermuda finished second behind Barbados in the 2011 Caribbean Equestrian Association’s Mini Dressage Challenge Standings.

Five islands took part in the yearlong event with Barbados securing Gold in the adult section and Silver in the children’s.

Bermuda held their Leg on November 5th at the National Equestrian Center, while Barbados set the standard for the region on November 26th at the Congo Road Equestrian Centre.

Amassing a score of 200.672 percent, Barbados was the clear winner, with Bermuda recording a score of 191.332 percent, the Cayman Islands finished third with 182.292 percent, while Jamaica finished fourth with 181.174 percent and Trinidad and Tobago finished fifth with a score of 181.950 percent.

Bermuda’s points came in the FEI WDC Preliminary Test 17 Years and Over Class as Cindy Redford and 24 Carrot amassed 62.414 percentage points, while in the FEI WDC Elementary Test 17 Years and Over Class Rebecca Carne and Limited Edition had 66.486 percentage points and the combination of Michael Rodrigues and Southern Eclipse had 62.432 percentage points.
