December 16, 2011

Bermudian poet, writer and thinker Sharla Chavonne will appear on the Chewstick stage later this month [Dec. 30] in what promises to be a must-see performance.

Her performance is part of the Chewstick Griot series, designed to spotlight local talent and celebrate live entertainment.

“This is a show not to be missed, as Sharla has been honing her craft in London and wants to say her final farewells before what is anticipated to be her last return to Bermuda for a very long time,” said a Chewstick spokesman. “This performance will leave the audience in awe as, Sharla shares her journey or life, love and motherhood through her poignant delivery and real life focus.

“This is an opportunity to support local talent and share in this young woman’s journey as she boldly shares the many facets of her life trials, tribulations and ultimate joys.”

Admission is $10 at the door. Doors open at 6 pm and showtime is 7 pm.

Chewstick’s Neo-Griot Lounge & Cafe is located at the corner of Court and Elliot Streets.
