Two Men Charged With Assault

December 19, 2011

Two 20-year-old men appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [Dec.19], charged in connection with an incident last week on Dundonald Street in which a man was beaten and stabbed.

The pair — Jamel Richardson and Ridge Souza-Mello — were charged with an indictable offence that alleged that on 15th December 2011, they had unlawfully assaulted another man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

The assault was alleged to have taken place on Dundonald Street around 5:15pm last week Thursday [Dec.15] as the victim was walking past Victoria Park. The victim and the two alleged assailants were known to each other.

Because the matter can only be dealt with in the Supreme Court, the pair were not required to enter a plea.

Unrepresented, but advised by Duty Counsel Leopold Mills, Mr Richardson chose to remain silent while Mr Souza-Mello made a short comment to Senior Magistrate Archie Warner.

The two men were remanded into custody until 4th January 2012.

Bermuda is into its second or third generation of feral children. Their grandparents were told to fornicate in the bushes, & they did.

It was part of the master plan.

Thirty something years later the results are no surprise at all.
