Football: Hamilton Parish Win Shield
Hamilton Parish are the 2011/12 Shield Champions after beating X’Roads 2 – 0 this afternoon [Jan.1] at the National Sports Centre.
The first 45 minutes produced one goal, when he Jahkai Outerbridge found the back of the net after a 25 yard strike in the 20th minute. X’Roads had a missed opportunity in the first half when Khomeini Talbot’s penalty kick hit the post in the 11th minute of play. In the 81st minute Ian Coke headed in a Shayne Hollis cross to put Hamilton Parish up 2 – 0, and the game ended soon after with Hamilton Parish walking away with the Shield.
