North Village Win Friendship Trophy

[Updated] The North Village Rams won the Friendship Trophy this afternoon [Jan.1] after defeating the Somerset Trojans 4 – 0.

Eight minutes into the game the Trojans goalkeeper Shaquille Bean made two saves in less than a minute to keep the score at 0 – 0.

Five minutes later North Village Rams winger Keishen Bean had a right footed shot pushed against the upright by the Somerset Trojans goalkeeper.

In the 23rd minute the North Village Rams pressure finally paid off as Keishen Bean’s right footed shot beat Somerset’s keeper to his right to give the North Village Rams the lead.

In the 30th minute Shaquille Bean dove to his right to deny North Village Rams captain Ralph Bean Jr. The Somerset Trojans created a chance in the 35th minute when Chikosi Basden wiggled his way pass two defenders, but his pass found Malachi Jones in an off-side position.

In the 41st minute Jones had a shot blocked from just inside the box denying the Somerset Trojans an equalizer. The two teams went to half time with North Village leading 1 – 0.

In the 49th minute Vernon Tankard doubled the North Village lead with a shot from the edge of the box. A ball played into the middle by Kieshen Bean saw Tankard put his shot pass the Somerset goalkeeper.

In the 85th minute North Village Rams defender Logan Alexander was brought down in the box by Bean, and Sammy DeGraff scored from the spot to make it 3 – 0.

In the 90th minute Ralph Bean Jr. had a drive from some 22 yards out to make the score 4 – 0, and earn North Village the Friendship Trophy.

    Why is Zane acting up like he’s the Minister of Sport. He’s alread Minister of Health cuz he’s building the hospital. Is he now working on some sports contracts? Where is the Min of Sport??? Just asking.
