Two Accidents, One Person Injured

A 59-year-old woman walked away with no injuries after crashing her car into a wall in Southampton, while a 47-year-old man sustained a leg injury after a bike accident on Devonshire.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:30pm on Sunday, January 22nd police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton in the vicinity of Jews Bay. It appears that a car was traveling along Middle Road when it collided with a wall.

“The driver, a 59 year old Warwick woman, was apparently not injured but she was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance as a precaution. The car received extensive front end damage and the wall was also damaged. There were traffic delays as a result.

“Around 11:10am on Saturday, January 21st police and first responders attended a reported collision on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Vesey Street. It appears that a van and a motorcycle were traveling along Middle Road when they collided.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 47 year old St. George’s man, sustained a leg injury and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The van driver was uninjured, however both vehicles were damaged.
