Interfaith Seminar On Social Peace

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Bermuda, in collaboration with the Anglican Church and CURB [Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda], is organising a faith-based symposium on the subject of “Social Peace” scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 10 from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI].

This faith-based symposium is a unique event aimed at bringing together representatives from different faith and social organisations to discuss how to promote social peace and harmony in Bermuda.

Issues such as violence, peace in the family, care of the aged, racism and discrimination will be discussed.

The facilitator for the event will be CURB president Cordell Riley and speakers will include Imam Azhar Haneef, vice-president of the US Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Rev. Anthont Pettit of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Paget and Dr. Kim Dismont Robinson, Folklife Officer of the Bermuda Department of Community & Cultural Affairs.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Bermuda that this endeavour would help evolve a better understanding of how to encourage peace and harmony in Bermuda.
