PLP To Host Drum Major Awards
The Progressive Labour Party will be hosting their 49th Annual Founders’ Day & Drum Major Awards Luncheon this Sunday [Feb.19] at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
The Keynote Speaker for the event will be Senator Diallo Rabain [pictured], Junior Minister for Education, Youth, Families & Sport, and the PLP Candidate for Constituency #7 Hamilton South.
In addition to Senator Rabain’s remarks, there will be a skit directed by Ms. Nishanthi Bailey and performed by Dellwood School students.
A PLP spokesperson said, “Drum Major awards will also be handed out to members of the community who have dedicated themselves to serving our island. This year’s recipients will be Ms. Donna Watson, Ms. Ann Pindar, Mr. Reginald Pearman, Ms. Verneil Simons and The Late Mrs. Dorothea Simons.
“The event will be held at Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 1:30pm. Tickets for the event are $65 for regular admission and $130 for Patrons and are available at PLP headquarters”
