Digicel Wins Caribbean Advertising Award

Digicel Bermuda’s 2011 brand campaign has been awarded the Caribbean Advertising Federation Silver ADDY. The campaign, which promoted the services of the Digicel network on the island, copped Silver in the Consumer, Regional/National category.

The “Think Big” campaign is a brand campaign launched by Digicel Bermuda in June 2011. This campaign was conceptualised and executed by OGM Communications Trinidad. All scenes were shot in Bermuda with local talent, with the assistance of the Digicel Bermuda marketing team of of Shane Mora, Stephanie Lovell, Jakai Franks, and Aziza Ahad Furbert.

The shoot took place in June 2011 at the Spanish Point Park, the Arboretum, Bermudiana Road, and the Digicel Church Street store.

Local talent involved included Preston Ephraim, Capri Wilson, Jahkeya Goater, Sophie Adams, C. Tamara Bradshaw, Stephanie Lacey, Jaiden Herbert, Yvonne Bean, Chris Down, Desiree Riley, Sandra Woolridge, Kondwani Williams, Jessica Meredith, Yanni Outerbridge, Anastasia Slater, Dakai Robinson, Nadanja Bailey, Cleopatra Rose-Soares, Ashley Martins, and Kristen Scott. The Digicel marketing team consists of Shane Mora, Stephanie Lovell, Jakai Franks, and Aziza Ahad Furbert.

ADDY Chairperson Terri Brown praised the high quality of work submitted this cycle saying she expected many of the regional winners to go forward to win district and national awards. The top CAF ADDY awards will be forwarded to the 4th District AAF Competition carded for April 14 2012.

ADDY’s were awarded in numerous categories of various media types as the CAF panel fielded over 420 entries from 30 different companies representing The Bahamas, Barbados, Jamaica, St Lucia, U.S. Virgin Islands and Trinidad and Tobago.

Winners of that competition go forward to compete with the best advertisements from the US and Caribbean in the National ADDY Competition.
