Golf: Bacardi National Par 3 Field Is Full

The Bacardi Par 3 Tournament slated for March 23 -25 at The Fairmont Southampton’s 18 Hole Par 3 Golf Course has seen the field of golfers filled, marking an impressive milestone in just the third year of this prestigious event.

30 female and 60 male amateurs as well as 30 professional golfers have signed up to participate in the two day 36 Hole Championship golf tournament which is sanctioned by the Bermuda Golf Association (BGA) and the Professional Golfers’ Association of Bermuda (BPGA).

Anthony Mocklow, Director of Golf at The Fairmont Southampton said, “We are thrilled at the overwhelming response both locally and oversees for this one of a kind golfing event. We are particularly excited about the unprecedented level of participation from international golfers that will contribute to our ongoing strategy of revitalizing golf at The Fairmont Southampton and Bermuda.”

“In addition to the exciting professional field, we are pleased to welcome top UK amateur golfer Alistair Cameron who is a member of the English Elite Squad. He joins 2011 champion Nick Taylor, Gosling’s Winner Joe Horowitz and Nick Legett in an exciting lineup of golfers confirmed to participate,” concluded Mr. Mocklow.

Bacardi International Limited is the title sponsor for the event. Supporting sponsorship is provided by John Barritt & Son, Rayclan Chevrolet. Event management is provided by To a Tee. The Fairmont Southampton is the host hotel and golf club for the event. The tournament will this year benefit the Red Cross and The New Beginnings Education Trust.
