  2. Strange says:

Has the taxi been found? Dont they have gps? Hope we find him bda

  3. Father God, nothing is hidden from you! says:

That is what I was thinking, I thought that they were all meant to have GPS inserted. If not find out what was his last dispatch, and start working back from that, also all of the roads should be checked for any breaks! This silly have to wait 24 hours to declare someone missing is really silly, time wasted in finding someone that may need medical assistance.

Merciful Lord, we ask for favour!

  4. Sis-in-law says:

Praise ye the LORD! He has been found. We Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. All Glory Be To HIS holy name. All Is well!!!

    • Privacy please says:

The public does not need to know what happened, main thing he has been found

      • Arthur - Atlanta says:

In my opinion you cannot constantly ask the public for help in locating someone who is missing and then after the emergency/incident is over and the person is located, give no details whatsoever because the next time you need the public’s help (and there will be a next time) then the public will start to turn their back on helping because they will feel unappreciated or used!.
I am not saying you have to give in depth info if it was a personal issue when a person goes missing but with the amount of crime/attacks/robberies taxi drivers have had happen to them the past few years, I am sure I am not the only one that was thinking he was robbed and lying injured or dead on some dark deserted road.

      • Please says:

The public needn’t have known he was missing either. What business was it of ours?

        • The truth says:

yes really what business is your why. Like other i am happy he is safe!

      • know yur place says:

I agree with pulic don’t need to know nothing MYOB…he’s home that’s what’s important.

  7. Father God, nothing is hidden from you! says:

  8. FREDDY G says:

May his return to family and friends be a JOYFUL REUNION !

  9. EL LOBO NEGRO says:

When does it become our business? Ever read the story of “THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF?”

  10. HOTMESS says:

Brother needed a beak… you know some voman was nagging him and he put himself in time out !

    Sheet….

Like the old song by Chicago says ” everybody needs a little time away.”

  11. Pastor Syl says:

Thank you Lord that he has been found safe and well. LOL @ Father God! You are so right!

To everybody else who wants to know what happened, surely the information that he was safe and well should be enough. Anything else is none of our business. I know when my son was missing (years ago), I was grateful when he was found but did not necessarily want to announce to the world that he had spent the night at a friend’s home and didn’t think to call me. That would have been embarrassing to both of us.

@ El Lobo: Asking the public for assistance when someone is missing is hardly crying wolf. We care about each other here, or at least we used to.

    • EL LOBO NEGRO says:

Pastor Syl, too bad you do not understand what you read, and also not very tactful in your response. This is not an isolated incident. For someone to ask is totally in order. To be told is none of your business is off track and down right RUDE. A coin has two sides. My response to those who want details would be. “Thank you very much for assisting. However, due to the sensitive nature of this issue. We would rather not disclose the details.” We are our brother’s.sister’s keeper.

  12. Cynical & I know it says:

Reading these comments makes me think Bermudians are the most mentally challenged people in the world. ‘Whose business is it when someone is missing?’ people ask. OURS if we’re expected to waste our time out looking for them!!!

There are two types of ‘missing’ as we well know. Many times we have had to assume that the person really is indeed truly missing only to waste our time because they’re not. However, the public still needs to be informed-it’s not a case of the public being pokey-as their loved ones are frantic due to their selfish relatives. In this case it had to be taken seriously-as a taxi driver perhaps working long hours, he could have easily fallen asleep and driven off an embankment somewhere, gotten trapped in his vehicle and needing help. In that case then the public needs to know in case something is spotted that is amiss.

However, on the flip side it seems like in 99% of these cases these people aren’t really missing at all. In those cases, then YES the public deservs to know what happened-perhaps not in detail but we should be told something! What-are we to assume that these ‘missing’ people were kidbnapped and then ransomed or what? We never know what the heck happened and are left to speculate with the usual cause that they simply needed some time away from it all. Are these people ever held accountable for wasting the Police or the public’s time? I doubt it.

Anyway,I’ve gotten cynical over all this foolishness and the bottom line with me is that I ignore these ‘missing’ cases because the individuals always turn up. Unless it is a small child, a handicapped/challenged or elderly person who is ‘missing’ I pay these cases no mind whatsoever. They aren’t missing since they know perfectly well where they are, and we end up having these same silly conversations over it every time and it’s starting to bore me. If you’re planning to go ‘missing’ at least give the Police a heads-up that you need a break so they don’t send out these meaningless alerts for Pete’s sake!!!
