Upcoming: World Oceans Day Celebrations
World Oceans Day will be celebrated with a Happy Hour Reception being held on June 8 at the HSBC Harbourview Centre. The event will celebrate the body of water which links us all with three perspectives on the ocean: Research, Management and Activism.
Speakers at the reception will include Eric Hochberg, Tammy Trott, Philippe Rouja & Chris Flook. Displays will be on hand comprising of a lionfish exhibit, marine debris display and student competition videos.
Complimentary Blue Halo cocktail & t-shirt, lionfish cakes & canapés will be available. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ocean Support Foundation.
The Happy Hour Reception will take place between 5:30-7:30pm at the HSBC Harbourview Centre on Front St. Tickets are $20 and there will be a cash bar. More information can be received by contacting Vanessa Shorto at email vanessa.shorto@bios.edu.
