Queen’s Birthday Parade To Be Held Tomorrow

Tomorrow morning [June 8] the Annual Queen’s Birthday Parade will take place on Front Street.

On the parade will be 2 Guards of the Bermuda Regiment, 2 Guards of the Atholl Highlanders [Europe’s only legal private army] and Guards of The Bermuda Police Service, Bermuda Sea Cadets and Bermuda Cadet Corps.

The Regiment and Highlanders will both have their Colours on parade. In addition, the Regiment will be firing a Feu De Joie and a 21 gun salute from their ceremonial 25 pound guns, which will be placed at Albouys Point.

The Parade will be commanded by Major Warren Furbert, and the military music will be provided be The Bermuda Regiment Band and Corps of Drums and the Atholl Highlanders Corps of Pipes and Drums.

The parade gets underway at 10.00am and there will be traffic restrictions in place starting early tomorrow morning.
