Upcoming: BHCT’s High Heel Fundraiser
Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust [BHCT] will hold its 3rd high heel fundraiser “Pump It Up” on Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 during Harbour Nights on Front Street.
“Pump It Up” features 12 members of the community who are paired in the spirit of friendly competition to see who can raise the most funds for BHCT.
The victor of each pairing will be announced the night of the event and will win the opportunity to hang onto their shoes and watch as their opponent walks the runway in high heels.
This year’s participants are:
- Jonathan Brewin vs. Jon Beard
- Neil Paynter (St. George’s Cricket Club) vs. Alfred Maybury (Somerset Cricket Club)
- Brendan Huttick (Lemon Tree Café) vs. Sen. Diallo Rabain
- delMonte Davis (LCCA) vs. Don Burgess (Bda Sun)
- Power Girl (Power 95) vs. Nikita Robinson (Hott 107.5)
- Wendy Augustus (BHCT) vs. Venetta Symonds (BHB)
For those who want to see a particular candidate walk in heels, BHCT suggests that pledges be made towards their competitor. The public can pledge towards their favorite person or their opponent online at the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust’s website, or by calling 298-0153.
Visit the “Pump It Up” booth at Harbour Nights on Wednesday June 27th and Wednesday July 4th to donate as well. The winners will be announced on stage at 8:30pm during Harbor Nights immediately following the Hair and Beauty Showcase brought to you in partnership with the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce & the Corporation of Hamilton.
