LOOK AT THOSE DANGEROUS LEAVES! I can almost feel the demonic aura of them from just looking at the image. LMAO Don’t you have better things to do BPS then raid somebody’s herb garden? Things like solving murder cases. At this stage these plants can’t even be considered drugs because they haven’t produced any psycho actives yet. Even if they where to reach that stage they would be less 100 times toxic then many other plants that grow wild throughout bermuda already. WHAT A RIDICULOUS WASTE OF TIME & MONEY THESE RAIDS ARE.

  2. The nitty gritty says:

Of all God’s creations…these poor plants look the least dangerous!

    • Tommy Chong says:

It’s always been a part of human nature to destroy or manipulate something that is feared though misunderstanding. As far apart as it seems racism & prejudice have a closer link then many know to cannabis prohibition. I would go on & list all plants in Bermuda that are psychoactive to encourage enlightenment but don’t because I am not sure those who knew would be positively influenced by this or would they go on a rampage & start cutting down the rest of Bermuda’s fauna out of ignorant fears or try consuming them regardless of education of their side effects. I guess ignorance is not always bliss. It all boils down to education & if adults don’t have this knowledge they have no rights to lecture kids on their fallacies. If parents want to teach their kids they need to go about finding out for themselves & disregard here say developed through propaganda.

  3. TheFuture says:

Clearly some commentators reasoning capacity has been affected by…well you read the story.

    • Tommy Chong says:

Clearly your reasoning capacity has been affected by outdated misinformed propaganda created by American presidents & drug czars who are or were as ignorant as they were the day they were born.

All that I’ve read in this article is that the police found some plants growing in some pots that are considered illegal because of their psychoactive content. Here’s where your & others who think like you need to be educated. AT THIS STAGE THESE PLANTS CAN’T GET YOU HIGH BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT DEVELOPED WHAT THEY NEED TO DO SO! Thats if these plants are female because if they are male they will never develop psychoactive content but this can’t be determined till they flower. Do police raid civilians gardens who grow white oleanders & arrest them for conspiring to make poison out of them? There’s loads of plants in Bermuda that will give you a high if ingested but ignorant people like you have no clue that the exist. The only reason you know about this one is because someone taught you a half truth to support their propaganda.

Like I’ve mentioned before you should really consider changing your screen name to ThePast because thats where your logic stems from. The Mercedes company has fields of this plant growing throughout Europe & no one who goes past them sees them as anything more than just another plant. You probably even have close or use products that contain this plant but have no idea that you do. As idiotic as it is maybe the police should arrest all the birds & bugs who consume this plant since the ignorance of the laws around this surpass logics of nature & even they should be considered criminals of this land for their actions.

  4. IT IS JUST WEED!!! says:

20 weed trees that are NOT even budded! It aint even no weed on these plants!

  5. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH says:

WHATS WORSE SOMEONE GROWING WEED THEN SELLING IT TO YOUR KIDS OR SOMEONE MAKING ALCOHOL AND SELLING IT TO YOUR KIDS

    • Tommy Chong says:

Neither is a good thing but at least there is very little chance my kids would overdose from smoking weed unless for some reason they found a way smoke a pound within an hour. With alcohol there’s a very high chance that a kid in the early teens could die from alcohol poisoning from drinking less then half a bottle of rum. Nevertheless my kids have been educated about all substances & know more about them then the majority of school councilors & teachers on this island & I’m sure will not dabble in these things. Just saying, “NO! NO! NO! BECAUSE I SAID SO!” does not work well at all unless some one has raised a sheep of a child & even in that case parents cannot always be around to play the shepherd role & that’s where peer pressure takes the lead with the sheep.

  6. Swing Voter says:

compared to ICE, CHRYSTAL, AND BATH SALTS, weed has the same benighn affect as a cold beer, this bust ain’t even a zero on the Rhicter scale

  7. Billy Mays says:

In fact, Swing Voter, marijuana is far LESS dangerous than a cold beer. Less addictive, marijuana consumption actually stimulates the brain’s ability to generate new cells, whereas alcohol consumption does the opposite.
With actual crimes being committed… you know, the kind with victims and all… this kind of activity is a massive and complete waste of time for the police.

  8. Billy Mays says:

And for the record, I don’t partake in marijuana consumption, but I don’t care a bit if others do.

  9. Jury says:

LEGALIZE MARIJUANA PLEASE! THESE TREES ARE NOWHERE READY FOR HARVEST. I DRINK HERBAL TEA EVERYDAY AND HAVE NEVER OVERDOSED, HAD A HANGOVER, NOR BEEN IN A ROAD ACCIDENT VIA THE USE OF AN HERB CREATED BY THE ALMIGHTY GOD. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM KILLING TREES AND ALLOW US TO USE THEM AS GOD INTENDED IT TO BE USED FOR.

    • BadLuvin says:

      AMEN!!
I dont understand how Alcohol is legal in bermuda but not weed. We the people give up our power too quickly to politicians WE elect. Ignorant idiots. Do some research vs. wasting time and money go after the real thugs and murderess.

  10. Larry says:

Bermuda would be a wonderful place to grow this marvelous herb. Trouble is most politicians have their heads up their a@@ and still believe the 1950′s propaganda
