That makes me cringe at the thought of a child in a scooter accident again. I remember the tourist girl who lost her mother in an accident by Waterlot. I hope the family in this accident are doing well with minimal injuries.
Another accident on our roads involving tourists. Please do something about renting bikes. Tourist are very shaky on our roads and unfortunately alot of our motorists are not very patient when it comes to being cautious when tourist are riding in front of them.
I remember that accident with a child being towed and her mom passed. Awful tragedy.
Bermudians are the problem for the most part! Although I agree that the cycle companies should be a somewhat stricter about who they rent their bikes too, not enough Bermudians take in to account what tourism means to Bermuda. There’s a reason why tourism makes up only a fraction of the nation’s income these days. Not enough people want to come here! And why would they? Imagine coming to Bermuda for the first time and being stuck in traffic with all these bikes speeding in and out around cars so that they can get home 30 seconds quicker. Bermudians: be more respectful to those on the roads, especially if it’s obvious that they’re new to this form of transport!
P.S. I know that some tourists really don’t understand our roads, and have seen them cause, or nearly cause, accidents. So like I said, cycle companies, step up your game! I know you want the money but these are people’s lives at stake when you put em on these two wheeled death traps.
Forgot to mention that I hope both people recover swiftly. That bike is a total mess!
