Jamaican Association Mourns Hazel Christopher
The Jamaican Association of Bermuda are mourning the loss of Hazel Christopher, a well known member of the island’s Jamaican community and a person instrumental in the formation of the Association.
A post on the Association’s Facebook page said: “Our beloved matriarch of the Jamaican Association (Bermuda) was called home to be with the angels in heaven on Friday night Aug 17th.
“The Association and the Jamaican community at large have lost a friend and mentor. We ask that you keep the family in your prayers in this very difficult time.”
The Jamaican Association’s documentary features Mrs Christopher:
The home going service for Mrs Christoper will be held tomorrow [Aug 25] and the Association has asked people to wear one or combination of Mrs. Christopher favourite colours — black, green or gold — the colours of the Jamaican flag.
God Bless The Christopher FAMILY !

Hang in there Roxanne I know it is definetly not easy at this time. But I know you will carry on your moms legacy as time goes on.
Peace and Love
I wasn’t a personal friend, but I am a long standing customer. I always looked forward to a visit to the store. To pass a few minutes with Ms Christopher would always raise my spirits. My thoughts and prayers are with her beloved family and many, many friends.
Dear lord look after this angel, as she looked after those in need on Earth. RIP.
I didn’t know Ms Christopher personally but I was also a regular satisfied customer. She was a unique talent at her craft. I always left her store pleased with her work. She saved my outfit on more than one Bermuda holiday (smile at memory).
Prayers for her family at this time. She will be missed by many!!!
