Motorcycle Race Postponed For Round The Island
The Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club has postponed their event previously scheduled for this Sunday [Aug 12] in order to support the Annual Around the Island Boat Race which is being held this Sunday.
“As it is the commitment of the BMRC to help develop motor sports in Bermuda the membership voted in favor of postponing our next race event until August 19, 2012 to support the Bermuda Power Boat Associations event.
A spokesperson said: “The Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club has made the decision to postpone our upcoming event previously schedule for August 12, 2012.
“The decision was made due to a scheduling conflict with another motor sports organization which is hosting the Annual Around the Island Boat Race this Sunday.
“As it is the commitment of the BMRC to help develop motor sports in Bermuda the membership voted in favor of postponing our next race event until August 19, 2012 to support the Bermuda Power Boat Associations event.
“We thank you for your support and understanding of the decision to postpone our upcoming race event and we look forward to hosting back to back race events on August 19th and 26th respectively.”
