22-Year-Old Woman Denies Robbery Charges

22-year-old mother of two Kendra Rogers pleaded not guilty in Magistrates Court this morning [Sept 12] to a charge of robbery that involved the use of force.

The allegation was that she had robbed another female of a BlackBerry, four bottles of Smirnoff Ice, and $30 in cash. Ms Rogers was released on $2,000 bail with one surety and will re-appear in Court on 26th September.

In setting bail, Magistrate Warner ordered that Ms Rogers must not interfere with the complainant or any witnesses; must wear an Electronic Monitoring Device; and abide by a 9pm to 6am curfew.

      Actually, sorry, but we can’t. There are many regulations with Court stories, from not mentioning any previous bad acts if they exist, not presuming guilt before a verdict, not mentioning names in certain cases etc. These are not our rules, its the way things go for all media. It’s why long term we will probably have to close comments on Court stories as its a constant issue. Once the verdict is in, much more can be said….
