Mirrors Launches Appeal For Volunteers
With training set to begin this Friday [Sept 14], the Coaching For Success Programme at Sandys Secondary Middle School is in need of 20 more volunteers in order for the programme to be launched at full capacity.
Volunteer Enrollment Manager Carla Zuill said: “While we are grateful for those in the community who have come aboard, we are still very short at Sandys Secondary Middle School. Since the programme launched, it has always been a bit more challenging finding education coaches in the west end, and the same has been true this year.”
Ms Zuill said it was vital that all potential education coaches for Sandys Secondary Middle School come forth as soon as possible as training commences Friday evening.
“Training begins Friday evening from 6 pm to 9 pm. It will then continue all day Saturday and Sunday. Our training sessions are in depth. We want education coaches fully prepared for the work they will be engaging in with students. Ultimately, thorough training of volunteers leads to successful outcomes for our youth”, said Ms Zuill.
Anyone interested in volunteering as an Education Coach at Sandys Secondary Middle School is asked to call the Mirrors Programme at 294-9291 or email mirrors@gov.bm.
