Tyrone Smith Finishes Second In Italy

Bermuda’s Tyrone Smith competed at the City Palio della Quercia Track Meet at the Rovereto Stadium in Italy, where he finished second with a top leap of 7.78m.

Smith had a foul on his first attempt before leaping 6.45m on his second attempt. The 28-year-old then leaped 7.76m on his third attempt, passed on his fourth attempt before returning and achieved a 7.78m on his fifth attempt.

    Excellent, I watched him in the Olympics, was so hoping he would get us a gold medal, but can;t win them all, so pleased he came second in Italy. I knew he was going to be a strong finisher. Congratulations Tyrone.
