Armed Police Execute Search Warrant, One Arrest
This afternoon [Oct 11] a large police presence was seen in the area by TCD, and the police have confirmed that they executed a search warrant at a North Street, Pembroke residence and one man was arrested.
The police statement did not detail exactly what they were searching for; however police officers on the scene were armed and using riot shields.
Senior officers were on scene and one police officer was seen with what looked like a metal detector. Unofficial reports indicate the police may have been looking for a firearm.
The police statement said: “Around 3:45pm on Thursday, October 11th police officers executed a search warrant at a North Street, Pembroke residence in relation to an ongoing investigation. As a result, one male was arrested at that location. Inquiries into the matter are ongoing.”

in little St Lucia majority of officers are armed though shootings happen but a gungstar would dear do a shooting when the police is in the vicinity. when we go out on search warrant especially for drugs and firearms we go heavily armed just incase of a gun battle

Looks like some pre election action tactic to me.
