Arts Centre To Host Zombie Walk Fundraiser
Somerset Village will be transformed into “Mangrove Hallows” on Saturday [Oct 27] when the Bermuda Arts Centre hosts a fundraising “Zombie Walk”.
Those interested are being encouraged to dress as a Zombie and walk for art. All participating Zombies are being asked to pledge their Zombie steps to raise funds for the Arts Centre and download a pledge sheet.
Zombies will leave from Grey’s Bridge at 11.00am and “walk/shuffle” to Somerset Village which will be transformed into a Haunted Hollow.
There will be “The Scariest Sand Castle Competition”, “The Great Pumpkin Race”, fun games, a haunted house at the Sandys Boat Club, pumpkin carving and drink and food specials at Salt Rock Grill and Somerset Country Squire.
The event will run between 12.00 noon – 4.00pm and will also see ghouls, a pumpkin pie eating contest and a costume parade.
Organizers are hoping to see some 75 odd Zombies descending upon the village saying, “Walk for Art! This is going to be a fun event. Dress as a Zombie and do the shuffle to Somerset Village. Zombies are welcome.”
