Wells & Bradford To Face Swansea At Wembley
Nahki Wells and his Bradford City teammates will be facing Swansea in the Capital One Cup Final next month at Wembley.
Swansea had faced off with Chelsea in the other Semi-Final, with the 0-0 score this afternoon [Jan 23], giving Swansea the 2-0 aggregate victory and the path to the Final. During the game, Chelsea’s Eden Hazard was sent off after he was involved in an incident [GIF here] with a ball boy.
In what has called one of the greatest cup stories of modern-day football, Bradford City defeated Premier League sides Arsenal, Wigan and Aston Villa to become the first League 2 club to reach the Cup final for 51 years.
The Bradford vs Swansea Capital One Cup Final will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on February 24, 2013. Nahki Wells will be the third Bermudian footballer to play at Wembley – joining Shaun Goater and Kyle Lightbourne.
Following last night’s 4-3 aggregate victory over Aston Villa the 22-year-old Bermudian tweeted three words: “Dream come true.”
