Equestrians Compete In Dressage Challenge

Bermuda recorded a score of 202.868% following their participation in the FEI World Dressage Challenge held at the National Equestrian Center this weekend.

Competing in Group X in front of Judges Elke Hilde Ebert from Costa Rica and Mariano Santos from Spain, Bermuda score will go up against Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Haiti and Cayman.

Bermuda’s combined score came from Michelle Ingham riding Roseland who scored 69.224%, while Ashley Gibbs and Landtango scored 68.041%. Zoe Olekask and Limited Edition’s score of 65.603% and Dawn Fox and Lancelot’s score of 63.224% was also added to the total.

Competing in the Prix St. Georges, Fox and Lancelot scored their 63.224% to win the Class, while Paula George and Wiriana finished second with a score of 57.171%.

Oleksak and Limited Edition won the Preliminary Juniors Class with a score of 65.603%, Courtney Bromby and Jack Frost finished second with a score of 55.000%, while Nina Wehmeyer and Roumourhazit finished third with a score of 50.69%.

The Preliminary Adults honors went to Angela Holloran Smith riding Finnomenal with a score of 69.569%, Michelle Ingham and Roseland finished second with a score of 69.224%, Jackie Scott and Scooby Doo finished third with a score of 66.207%.

Claire Salmon riding G.P. Sophia finished fourth with a score of 62.586%, while Shelly Lewis and Kir Royale finished fifth scoring 59.052%. Erin Smith and Project Runway finished sixth recording a score of 58.707% and Samantha Armano riding After Dark finished seventh with a score of 58.276%.

Gibbs and Landtango won the Elementary Adults Class recording a score of 68.041%, while Holloran Smith and Helsinki Van De Heffinck finished second scoring 66.014% and Jackie Scott riding Scooby Doo finished third with a score of 63.446%.

The Medium Class was won by Gibbs and Landtango scoring 64.188% and Suzette Sailsman won the Advanced Class with a score of 63.378%.
