‘Fight Night The Rematch’ got underway at the Berkeley Institute Gymnasium last night [Feb 2] with a full slate of fights on tap.
The main fight of the night featured the WBC World Middleweight Boxing Championship rematch between Bermuda’s Teresa Perrozi and American Tori Nelson, following their draw in October 2012.
Both were looking to establish a rhythm early, the pair took their time in the first round feeling each other out, but the second round had the fans on their feet.

First Nelson landed a blow that sent Perozzi to the canvas, Perozzi was able to get back on her feet and land a hard blow to Nelson that sent her to the canvas. The fight continued for ten rounds, with the enthusiastic crowd cheering for the Bermudian fighter.
The match was declared a draws, and the WBC Belt still remains vacant. Fans seemed less than happy with this decision, with a loud chorus of boos heard after the draw was announced.
In the earlier matches, Bermuda’s Nikki Bascome put on a show outscoring his opponent from Virginia Matthew Abregu, while American Christopher Gooch defeated Andre Lambe on points as well.
Jashaun Thomas defeated his American opponent Jose Israel Flores on points, while Stefan Dill out boxed Shannon Ford on his way to winning their fight on points.
Stephen Wright defeated Diandre Burgess on points, this was just after Reyel Bowen won his fight on a Technical Knock Out over Justin Tucker.
Corey Boyce and Trey Simons entertained the crowd with some hard punches land, with Boyce coming away with a point’s decision, while Tariq Lynchwade defeated Brian Flynn on points as well.
Bernard Opoku’s bout the second fight of the night ended when David McHugh could not continue with Opoku winning on a Technical Knock Out, while Le-Jai Tucker scored a points decision over Andrew Haye in the opening fight of the night
perozzi got dropped and dazed she clearly lost the fight. she didnt drop the girl like how she got dropped. Nelson clearly got cheated!!! Another REMATCH lofl how u get 2 draws thats that ish i dont like !
