Date Change For “Art In Sailing” Fundraiser
For safety reasons and due to conflicting events with the Bermuda Agricultural Exhibition, the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art has moved the date of the “Art in Sailing” fundraiser from April 19 to Friday April 26 at 6:00 p.m.
The event — a joint fundraiser between Masterworks and the Bermuda Sloop Foundation which operates the sail training vessel “Spirit Of Bermuda” — will take place at the Masterworks Museum located in the Botanical Gardens.
Giclee reproductions of five of the most iconic paintings from the Masterworks collection depicting Bermuda’s sailing traditions are being offered to the public via a silent auction bidding process through the museum’s website www.bermudamasterworks.com.
The online bidding will conclude during the “Art in Sailing” fundraiser on April 19th at the
Masterworks Museum.
A student art competition has also been organised in conjunction with the collaborative fundraiser.
“Come and enjoy wine, beer, fish chowder, finger sandwiches and hors d’oeuvres,” said a Masterworks spokesman, “all for $10.”
