International Girls Football Festival Concludes

The BBFS International Girls Football Festival concluded on Sunday [Mar 31] with the final three matches.

BBFS U14′s fought vs the U17′s of Fusion Florida [Monte Verde Academy] to go down 4-1. Fusion went ahead 1-0 via Delaney Crumblis after a cross was misjudged by BBFS goal-keeper Micah Pond. BBFS replied via Tia Durham to equalize.

Fusion would go up 2-1 via Marcela Damos to close out the half. The second half would see Fusion score two more via Samantha Klein and Damos to end their tour to Bermuda with one win, a loss and a draw.

BBFS U14′s closed out their participation in the Girls Festival with a win and a draw.

The Bermuda Women’s National team defeated FC Virginia 1-0 via Tiara Smith. Bermuda earlier went down to FC Virginia 3-2 on day one, so finished with a win and a loss.

The final match on Sunday would see BFS Guelph & Fergus U13′s defeat the Bermuda Academy trial players 3-1. BFS recorded their win via Anna Wright-Lacatus who scored a brace and Abbey Struyk. BFS Guelph and Fergus closed the tour with a win, draw and a loss.
