Photography Summer Camp For Children

April 6, 2013

Thekid camera Bermuda National Gallery is hoping to put the island’s kids in the picture with its Youth Camera Action summer camp.

Registration is now open for the 2013 subsidised photography programme which accepts children aged from 11 to14 years.

“Students will learn the basic principles of composition and photography, how to use the various functions of a digital camera, including the manual mode,” said a spokesman. “Each session will take place at the Bermuda National Gallery at City Hall, where participants will learn creative strategies while developing a portfolio of images.

“Participants will then travel to various photo locations to practice their skills.”

The summer programme takes place in July and August and the application form can be found here.
