Pompano Beach Club Makes Top 10 List
Bermuda’s Pompano Beach Club made a “USA Today” Top 10 list of resorts that combines a top-notch gyms with world-class views.
Published in the newspaper’s travel section today [Apr. 10], the list was compiled by the publication’s partner Oyster.com which specialises in independent on-line hotel reviews.
“Many hotel fitness centers feel like afterthoughts, with a few rusty machines crammed into sad little rooms in a forgotten corner,” said the newspaper !But some hotels go above and beyond to provide an appealing space for travellers to work out, with large windows overlooking the city, the mountains or the beach.”
The newspaper said of the Bermuda hotel: “The Pompano Beach offers great ocean views from virtually every spot in the resort, including from the fitness centre.
“Every machine here is facing the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer relaxing unobstructed views of the ocean and the boats bobbing off the shore.
“A mirrored wall helps bring the outdoors in, ensuring that there’s tons of natural light and great vistas even for those facing the opposite wall.”
Other hotels on the “USA Today” Top 10 list were Langham Place, Hong Kong; Intercontinental, Boston; Beach Palace, Cancun; The James, New York; Porto Bay Rio Internacional Hotel, Rio De Janeiro; Trump International Hotel & Tower, Chicago; Lake Austin Spa Resort, Austin; Boston Marriott Copley Place; Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego; and NH Calderon, Barcelona.

Congratulation to, “Pompano Beach Club” What fantastic views for them that like to go jogging etc.
Wish I’d got a view like that when I’m exercising – my gym has no windows at all!! but if it did then all I’d see was grey skies & grey rooftops – but then I am in Liskeard, Cornwall, UK – will have to save up for another trip to Bermuda – unless I’ve just won that competition I entered. Best wishes to everyone I used to exercise with @ the Olympic Club when I lived in Bda – some 18 years ago & more.
The view from the new lobby is breathtaking . It must be the best from any hotel in Bermuda. I love having lunch there, excellent food and welcoming Bermudian staff.
