Man Jailed For Peeping Up Women’s Skirts
A Turkish national appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [May 14] where he admitted using video camera to look up women’s skirts. Kubilay Fidan was jailed for 30 days and Senior Magistrate Archie Warner recommended that be deported after his sentence is completed.
Fidan, 41, admitted secretly recording parts of women’s bodies in Miles Market. Â The Court heard did this by placing a backpack on the floor with a camera in it and using his foot to move the bag.
He was arrested after store security contacted the police, and Fidan was caught outside in his car watching the video. He admitted the offence, and claimed in court that he was “truly, truly sorry.”

Well although it is a public place, this should be illegal because it is an invasion of the level of privacy one would hope to have in such a public place. For instance, an airport is a public place but a TSA agent has every right to invade that privacy because it is their job and even still it would be a male agent on male civilian and vice versa. If it is not your job to “invade a persons public privacy” it is or should be illegal.
