Injured Rider Arrested For DUI After Collision

A 40-year-old Hamilton parish man was arrested this morning [June 4] on suspicion of impaired driving after being injured in a single vehicle accident on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.

A police spokesperson said, “Around midnight on Tuesday, June 4th police and first responders attended a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with East Point Lane.

“It appears that the motorcycle was being ridden along North Shore Road when it collided with a wall. The rider, a 40 year old Hamilton parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Caleb Jn Pierre on 295-0011.”
