Music Video: UK-Based Bento Releases “Go Up”
Just in time for summer, Bermudian recording artist Matthew Bento — who goes by the mononym Bento — has released a scorching new tune titled “Go Up” which is accompanied by an official music video.
Currently residing in London and having completed his education at Point Blank Music College in music production & engineering and music business & radio, he has been working in the studio with UK-based producer Matti Roots on Otherways Records and collaborating with indie pop artist Hipman Junky and singer-songwriter Bluey Robinson.
Bento’s last video, “Good Times”, with Bluey Robinson reached over 16,000 views on YouTube.
He is a founder of Devil’s Isles Entertainment [DIE], the Bermuda-based label that also hosts island favourites K.A.S.E., Imari, Derek G, Lnk, and R?ddla.
While “Go Up” was filmed on-location in London, Bento has collaborated with Bermudian filmmaker Asha Ludwig in the past, mixing evocative beats with vibrant Bermuda imagery in the videos “Just Rise” and “Slippin Away.”

Bento first gained attention in 2005 with his song “Working On U”, which became a popular local radio hit.
Released at about the same time as the Collie Buddz anthem “Come Around”, “Working On U” reached number three on the Hott 107 top 10 while “Come Around” charted at the top spot.
DIE has become a force to reckon with in the local music scene ever since, with the most recent release by Derek G., “De Stealth Ninja Chronicles 2.”
Bento is currently working on various writing and production projects, including his EP called, “The Deep”, which is slated for release in late August.
