Premier: “We Appreciate Support From US & UK”
Premier Craig Cannonier issued the following statement to the international media today [June 28] regarding recent comments by Governor George Fergusson, and U.S. Consul General Robert Settje at the Insurance Day Summit Bermuda conference, urging the insurance and reinsurance industries to promote their value to economies around the world and to help build a stronger Bermuda economy:
Premier Cannonier said: “The Bermuda government is focused on strengthening the Bermuda economy and creating jobs and opportunities for Bermudians.
“We appreciate the support of the UK Governor and the US Consul General. Their recognition that Bermuda provides real value to the US. in the form of insurance, reinsurance, international investment and the need to deliver that message around the world is very much appreciated.
“We will continue to work with them and others as we promote Bermuda’s financial products and services and underscore their value around the world.”
The OBA/UBP/BDA are not about creating jobs for black Bermudians.

The OBA/UBP/BDA will not create jobs for black people unless they are willing to compromise and work in the best interest of the Europeans. Blacks must create their own job opportunities and that’s what many are doing as we speak.
The OBA/UBP/BDA is about economic,political and educational control in the best interest of the Europeans.
