Sunday: U.S. Swimmer To Hold Backstroke Clinic
On Sunday, June 23rd, the new Aquatics Centre at the Bermuda National Sports Centre will be hosting a backstroke clinic with Peter Marshall from 9am to 10am.
Mr Marshall is an American swimmer who specializes in the backstroke. He is the current world record holder in the 50-meter backstroke [short course] and former world record holder in the 100-meter backstroke [short course].
Mr Marshall’s world record setting swim in 2008:
He has won a total of fourteen medals in major international competition, ten golds, two silvers, and two bronze spanning the World Championships, the Pan American Games, and the Pan Pacific Championships.
Mr Marshall will first give a lecture and then provide a demonstration for the swimmers to observe. Swimmers who will compete in the backstroke at the upcoming Island Games will join him in the water to work on their technique.
