Canada Lead Three Game Netball Series 2-0

The Bermuda Netball Association is hosting a three match series featuring the Bermuda National Team going up against Canada at the Whitney Institute with game three scheduled for Wednesday evening at 6pm.

Twenty-first ranked Canada defeated Bermuda at the Whitney Institute courts in the first game of the three match series. Canada took an early lead in the game which steadily grew as the visitors played through the first half.

Bermuda outscored Canada in the third quarter but were down 42–27 with one quarter to play. Canada outscored Bermuda 12-10 in the final quarter to end the game with a final score Canada 54 Bermuda 37. MVP for the night was Canada’s Tiffany Wolfe.

Canada won the second game of the series against Bermuda with a final score of 47-32. Goal scorers for Bermuda included Marissa Brangman with 15, Danielle Raynor with 13 and Ebonie Burgess 4.

Goal scorers for Canada included Cherry-Don Nickie with 26 and Morgan McLaughlin scoring 21. At the end of the game Canada Goal Shooter (GS) Cherry-Don Nickie was announced as MVP of the match.
