Retailers Make A Wedding Dream Come True
The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s Retail Division recently came together to run an island-wide competition for newlyweds and brides to be. The eight week, “Bermuda Gets Married” promotion came to a happy end last week when it was announced that Mr. & Mrs. Dean Eve were the lucky winners who got to say “we do” to over $2,650 in prizes.
In making the announcement Chamber Retail Division Chair, Paula Clarke noted: “Bermuda Gets Married was a fun and innovative way for family and friends to get involved in the couples big day, simply by shopping locally at their favourite stores.
For every purchase made at a participating store, shoppers were entitled to vote for the couple of their choice, the only stipulation being that they married in this calendar year. We extend our sincerest congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Dean Eve, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness.”
Upon hearing the good news the Eve’s commented “We are just thrilled! Our July 4th wedding day was one of the happiest of our lives, now we have this to enjoy on top of everything else. It is truly the icing on the cake.”
And cake is not the only thing the lucky newlyweds will be able to enjoy in the coming months. Each participating store donated a prize for the promotion so now the newlyweds have 15 gift certificates totally $2,650 to savour and enjoy over the coming year.
In conclusion Ms. Clarke noted; “We look forward to welcoming the newlyweds into our stores as they shop for everything they need and want to complete their home. Our hope being that they turn happy memories into a lifetime of shopping locally.”
