Video/Photos: Carnival Revelers In St George’s
The east end was filled with activity on Sunday [Nov 3] as the Art Walk in the East followed the first day of the Olde Towne Market, with both events being held in St George’s.
Crowds of people made their way east for the day’s events, which included an appearance by the popular Carnival Revelers group, with large intricate colourful costumes covered with feathers and sequins.
The Queen of the Carnival, Lisa Sousa and King of the Carnival Larry Perinchief were joined by Norma Nottingham the matriarch of the group and many other dancers.
The Arts Centre in Dockyard, in partnership with the Town of St. George’s, hosted the event, which included an art competition and a host of local entertainment including the Bermuda Highland Dancers & Bagpipers [video], performances by young singers Quinn Outerbridge and Victoria Paulo [video], Mark “Sybil Barrington” Anderson, a fashion show and more.
