Alleged Sexual Exploiter Stays Silent In Court

February 3, 2014

A 39 year old man charged with sexually exploiting a young person while he was in a position of trust refused to speak when appearing in the Supreme Court Monthly Arraignment Session this morning [Feb 3].

The man — who cannot be legally named at this stage — was charged with four counts of sexually exploiting a young person while he was in a position of trust. The alleged offences were said to have occurred in 2013.

During this process, the man stood in the dock with his arms folded across his chest and did not speak when asked to enter a plea.

Justice Carlyle Greaves entered a plea of not guilty on each of the counts and set tentative trial dates of 24th March and 28th April 2014. The man will remain in custody until his trial.

The fact of the matter is that violent punishments are no derterent for committing these sorts of crimes. Men and women who prey on children have some serious issues.

It does not start in their pants. It is in their minds. So until that is addressed they will always be a possibility that they will reofend.

I think in the USA they use medication for her most serious offenders. Not certain what the law/policy allows/recommends here.

Sad! This is happening too often. These boys, cause they aren’t men, can do the crime, then when they’re brought before the courts they stay silent! Then to top it off, the judge enters a not guilty plea on their behalf, what madness! If you don’t want to talk, then your plea is guilty. If you can’t talk to at least prove your innocence, then you’re guilty!
