Ball Hockey: Golden Seals & Nordiques Win
Recent Bermuda Ball Hockey action at the PCC Hockey Rink saw a total of 22 goals in a double header.
Colorado Rockies 4 – California Golden Seals 5
In the opener the California Golden Seals got 2 goals from Adam Chevis and a single strike from Shaun Behan as they held a 3 – 2 lead at the end of the first period. Kevin Albrecht and Chris Merritt scored for the Colorado Rockies.
Chevis completed his hat-trick with the only goal in the second period as the California Golden Seals took a 4 – 2 lead. JF Talbot pulled the Colorado Rockies within one when he scored early in the third period, but Craig Macneil scored for the California Golden Seals to give them the two goal lead yet again and when Merritt scored his second goal of the game for the Colorado Rockies, it made the final few minutes interesting, but the clock ran out on them.
Quebec Nordiques 8 – Minnesota North Stars 5
The Quebec Nordiques got 4 goals from JM Tremblay, while Jeff Ingelman scored a hat-trick as they defeated the Minnesota North Stars 8 – 5. Billy Calko scored the other goal for the winners, Ed Sweeney scored a hat-trick for the Minnesota North Stars, while Cory Caouette and Glen Madore added a goal each.
