Dage Minors Named Track Rookie Of The Week
Bermudian Dage Minors of the Franklin Pierce University men’s track and field team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Track Rookie of the Week for the week ending on February 2nd, 2014.
Minors finished second in the 1,000 meters at Saturday’s Dartmouth Classic, with a time of 2:29.61.
The mark was good enough to take over first place in the Northeast-10 in the event.
It is the second straight Track Rookie of the Week award for Minors, as well as his third on the season.
In addition, the young Bermudian has reached the qualifying standard for the CARIFTA Games in the 800m, running a time of 1.53.48 which was well within the standard of 1.57.50.

It is good to see positive young Bermudians being acknowledged for their hard work and commitment to their passion. A true testament to the fact that not all of our males are sitting on the wall.
