Finance Ministry: Feb. Fuel Price Adjustments

The Ministry of Finance has announced that with effect from Friday, 14th February, 2014 the maximum prices of petroleum products change as follows:

  • Gasoline + 5.3 cents/litre
  • Diesel + 1.2 cents/litre
  • Kerosene + 1.3 cents/litre

As a consequence the maximum retail prices displayed on the pumps for petroleum products are as follows:

  • Gasoline 212.30 cents/litre
  • Diesel 188.80 cents/litre
  • Kerosene 161.30 cents/litre

    Summertime must be around the corner.

    Raise the tax on fuel for summer, so we pay more for transportation, and leisure.

    What is the percentage of tax on fuel? We pay over $8.00 per gallon and that is consistent, regardless of price in the US.

    Prices have dropped in the US in the past year. Here not so much.
