Students Compete To Raise Nutrition Awareness

April 15, 2014

The Bermuda Dieticians Association and the Argus Group recently handed out prizes to P4-P6 students from Prospect Primary School in recognition of their participation in a Nutrition Champion School Competition that saw them create unique posters promoting healthy eating.

All of Bermuda’s primary schools were invited to participate in producing art work, poems, and commercials regarding nutrition and healthy eating; the contest featured a P1-P3 category and a P4-P6 category.

The competition produced four winners, with first prize going to Rakshana Sureshkumar, second place to Ahmya Peets, third place to Kyshon Phinn, and the People’s Choice Award won by Alleira Martin with 1,402 votes.

The hard work of the students ensured that Prospect Primary School received $650 towards their budget.
