Tennis: Langton Adult Open Spring Final Results
The Langton Adult Open Spring 2014 Singles Tennis Tournament concluded this weekend at the Fairmont Southampton Tennis Courts the same location as the Par 3 Championships.
Number Three seed Jenson Bascome was crowned the Men’s Open Singles Champion following his three set win over second seed Gavin Manders. Manders won the first set 6 – 4, but Bascome would win the second set 6 – 4, Bascome would lift the title with a 6 – 4 third set win.
Luke Stirling won the West Draw title with a straight sets victory over Hugh Seymour 6 – 4, 6 – 1 and Jack Keyes won the North Draw title with a straight sets victory over Romar Douglas 6 – 1, 6 – 1.
Tyler Smith won the Women’s Open Singles title with a three set victory over Jacklyn Lambert, Lambert won the first set 7 – 5, but Smith would win the second set 6 – 2 and then she closed out with a 6 – 3 third set victory.
