25 Student Officers Commence Police Course

Today [May 19] Recruit Foundation Course [RFC] #76 began with 25 student officers reporting to Police Headquarters in Prospect, Devonshire for their initial orientation.

A police spokesperson said, “RFC #76 is an intensive 17 week training course comprising various topics including Bermuda’s laws, police procedures, mediation training, officer safety training, first aid, diversity training and driver training to name just a few.

“There are 15 men on the course, consisting of: 11 Bermudians and four spouses of Bermudians as well as 10 women, consisting of nine Bermudians and one spouse of a Bermudian.

“The 25 recruits range in age from 21 to 47 years of age.

“The course is scheduled to conclude with a Passing Out Parade on Thursday 11th of September.”
