Man Injured In 2 Vehicle Southampton Collision

A 45 year old Southampton man is in stable condition following an accident yesterday afternoon in Southampton.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:45pm on Wednesday, May 28th first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Alton Hill in Southampton.

“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along Middle Road and a car was exiting Alton Hill when the vehicles collided.

“The injured motorcyclist, a 45 year old Southampton man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check he was recovering in stable condition on a general ward.

“Both vehicles received front end damage. There were apparently significant traffic delays following the collision, but traffic flow in the area subsequently returned to normal.

“Enquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Francis Blackman-St. John on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
