Manders & Cross Win William Way Memorial
Gavin Manders and Cayla Cross were crowned the Men’s and Ladies 2014 William Way Memorial Tournament Champions at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium.
In the Men’s Singles Final Manders defeated David Thomas in straight sets 6-4, 6-0, while Cross defeated Imani Phillips in the Ladies Singles Final in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Michael Way captured the Men’s Senior Singles Final after he defeated Dennis Harris in straight sets 6-1, 6-0.
Kaylah Ming defeated Maria Ramirez in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 in the Ladies Singles Consolation Final, while Charlie Boyle defeated Trey Mallory 6-4, 7-6 in a Men’s Consolation Singles match.
The Men’s Consolation Doubles Final saw David Leader & Luke Stirling defeat Scott Redmond & Jay Wagh in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
